wicked. this is a prime example of why your stuff is so great. everything is completely solid. You're able to draw mass/volume in the most believable way.
hey matt! I don't know if you'll ever read this though..
I just wanted to say the new GW artbook handed out at Pax was fantastic. your Kryta female in particular caught my eye - the armor design is utterly original. that's why I want to do a 3d model of her for my demo reel. so yeah, im asking for your permission to use one of your concept art as the basis for my portfolio work.
Robert: I assume you're referring to the piece on page 32, which is in fact one of Daniel Dociu's concepts. In any case, I haven't yet done any player character or NPC concept work beyond the Asura for GW2.
Doood, it's a fonj! shit man, your stuff is still looking good. I saw NCSoft was hosting GW as well as Aion. Aion was an asio-thingie, right? You and mere weren't involved? A friend gave me the guild wars "aion wings" promotional item, I was so hyped up at the idea that you and mere might've had a part in it that I bought it, then I load it up and go "... uh, I think this is an eastern production." then sighed and made an admittedly sweet looking character.
Yeah, Aion is developed by an NCSoft team in Korea. GW2 had to play second fiddle to Aion at PAX, since they're the big release for now and all. I haven't played it yet, but what I have seen really isn't quite up to the level of overall richness GW2 has in the works. You're right, also, that it does look very Korean. They do love their beautiful characters. I'm really just looking forward to running around in my swamps and jungles and hills.

What Matt said + love how so many different materials are indicated and hinted at.
The light coming through that tail is geeking me out Matt!
